Equion FM chooses mplSystems' technology to ensure future growth. 31st October 2006 mplSystems, the contact centre specialists, is pleased to announce that Equion Facilities Management, part of John Laing plc, has chosen intelligentContact™ - mplSystems’ integrated telecommunications and contact management solution – as the underlying platform for their EQ 24/7 helpdesk. Equion FM, a specialist provider of facilities management in the PFI and PPP markets, had identified a requirement to provide a flexible, scalable helpdesk service for their customers’ maintenance support calls. They contacted mplSystems who were able to offer a 12 seat facility with 24/7 capabilities and integrated overflow and disaster recovery. The EQ 24/7 helpdesk was subsequently built and installed within 6 weeks; the installation phase included connection to mplSystems’ existing network of 7 UK centres via a firewalled 256k MPLS private circuit, expert user training for Equion’s own staff and agent training for mplSystems’ bureau staff to ensure the overflow and DR capabilities were available from day one. The training element was conducted initially at mplSystems’ North London centre, with Equion staff taken through the basic user functionality by mplSystems teamleaders and agents over 1 day, and then at the EQ helpdesk facility where a mplSystems trainer remained on site to assist Equion staff with specific “what if” scenarios.
